Glasgow Rangers attacker not included in latest Colombia squad.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos made his international for Colombia last month.
This time around the Rangers ace was not included in Arturo Montero’s squad.
Rangers forward Morelos did not cover himself in glory with his brief substitute debut for Colombia, missing an open goal.
Despite this the young striker has gone from strength to strength for Rangers since returning to Scotland.
He scored twice in Rangers’ recent Europa League win over Rapid Vienna, a feat which created headlines in his homeland.
The report notes Colombia’s selection should not be a popularity contest, and should pick in form players.

Morelos is certainly in form, scoring 11 goals in 19 games in all competitions for his club this season.
As it stands, Morelos being snubbed by his country may work in Rangers’ favour in the short term.
He is getting a rest over the break and he will be increasingly motivated to prove a point ahead of the November internationals.
