Rangers are reportedly trying to sign Kieran Dowell

Rangers attempts to sign Kieran Dowell could get a helping hand from current Ibrox loanee Joe Worrall.
The Daily Record reported this week that Steven Gerrard wants to sign attacking midfielder Dowell on loan from Everton.
Dowell would be an excellent signing, and Worrall knows him well, with the pair teammates at Nottingham Forest last season.
The pair have also played together at England under-21 level.
The midfielder scored 10 goals at Forest last season and Worrall last season praised his ‘wonderful’ left foot, Nottingham Live reported.

Worrall also admitted he was trying to persuade Dowell to rejoin Forest, although said he knew it would be hard.
He said: “We will 100 percent be trying to persuade him that this is the place to be next season, but who knows what will happen? Because he is a player with a very bright future ahead of him.”
Worrall and his teammates were unsuccessful, with Dowell heading back to Everton, where he remains on the fringes of the first team.
Perhaps this time he will have more luck convincing him to sign with Rangers, as it would just like his, be a temporary switch.
