Gareth McAuley comments on Rangers striker’s red card.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos received his third red card of the season in midweek against Aberdeen.
His sending off did not help Rangers against the Dons, and they went down 1-0 at Ibrox, the first home defeat Steven Gerrard’s men have suffered this season.
New teammate Gareth McAuley wants Morelos to learn from it, speaking to The Scotsman.
He said that the biggest disappointment is not the loss to Aberdeen. Instead he is worried about Morelos now being unavailable for the next two.
McAuley said: “If you are in a situation when you are on a yellow card, you need to make sure you stay on the pitch for your team-mates.
“The biggest disappointment is that we now lose him for a couple of games.”

There is now added pressure on striker Kyle Lafferty to step up while Morelos is banned.
He will be out this weekend away against Dundee, and then at home to Hamilton.
Rangers should be able to win both without him, but it does place a strain on the squad.
If the team do not manage to get six points, part of the blame will lie with the Colombian, no matter who plays poorly on the day.
