Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers star Ross McCrorie wants to follow in the footsteps of reported Steven Gerrard target Oliver McBurnie.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
McCrorie, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, is one of the best young players at Rangers and in the Scottish Premiership.
The 20-year-old is a regular for the Scotland Under-21 international side, and the Rangers youngster has now set his sight on the senior tea.
The Rangers youngster has also suggested that he hopes to follow in the footsteps of John Souttar and Oliver McBurnie.
The Scottish Sun quotes McCrorie as saying: “You look at the start of the campaign, we had players like Oli McBurnie and John Souttar [playing for the Under-21s], and recently they have been breaking in [to the full team] so there is always a pathway for the boys. The Scotland manager is always watching you.”

Promising duo and Rangers link
Heart of Midlothian central defender Souttar, 21, has played twice for Scotland, while 22-year-old Swansea City striker McBurnie has turned out thrice for his national team.
Interestingly, McBurnie was linked with a move to Rangers in the summer transfer window before he signed a new contract with Swansea in the Championship in England.
According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, July 1, 2018), Rangers made a £4.5 million for McBurnie (click here to read more).
