Miller is 37 years old now and is playing for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership. The Scotsman has been playing well for the Gers this season, but his current contract with the Glasgow giants runs out at the end of the season and no new deal is in place.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha recently suggested to The Daily Record that it is not guaranteed that the striker will offered a new contract, and Sunderland should make a move.
Miller may not be good enough to play in the Premier League, but the former Celtic striker could do a decent job in the Championship.
If manager David Moyes plays to his strength, then Miller could be a valuable asset for Sunderland. Moreover, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker would arrive the Stadium of Light on a free transfer.
