Hagi has failed to secure a regular starting spot at Rangers

Ianis Hagi could be set for a move away from Rangers after failing to cement a place in Steven Gerrard’s starting XI.
The Romanian made a big impression after arriving on loan in the January transfer window, with his double in the 3-2 Europa League comeback win against Braga endearing him to fans of the Ibrox club.
His move was made permanent in May, with the 21-year-old leaving Belgian side Genk for a long-term crack at the Scottish Premiership.
The son of legendary former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Galatasaray playmaker Gheorghe Hagi has endured a stop-start campaign, however, frequently being named on the bench and scoring only two goals in 21 appearances.

A report in Turkey now suggests a move may be on the cards for the attacking midfielder, with Sampdoria among a number of clubs apparently interested.
According to Spor Arena, Hagi is a target for the Italian side as well as Serie A rivals Cagliari, La Liga outfit Sevilla, New York City FC and Toronto FC.
Manchester United’s recent Champions League opponents İstanbul Başakşehir are also named as a possible destination for Hagi, with Italian outlet clubdoria46 naming them as the frontrunner.
They claim that Hagi could be amenable to a move in January as “he no longer seems willing to accept the bench”.
Hagi was an unused substitute on Sunday as Rangers continued their winning streak with a 2-1 win over Dundee United at Tannadice.
