Rangers loanee has to be encouraged at having one fewer competitor.

Rangers loanee Greg Docherty is having an impressive season out on loan.
The Ibrox man has netted nine goals in all competitions and provided 11 assists out on loan at Shrewsbury.
The goals have dried up a little though, scoring only once in the league since December 15.
So Docherty will be encouraged by Rangers’ reported plans to offload Graham Dorrans.
Dorrans injuries have led to Rangers deciding to give up on him, with the Evening Times reporting he is set to b sold this summer.
This means one fewer player to compete with back at Rangers for Docherty.

Lassana Coulibaly’s loan spell is also unlikely to be renewed, with the midfielder losing his place in recent weeks.
Some fans were frustrated that Docherty was loaned out in the first place. He certainly would have contributed more than Dorrans has.
He has at least benefitted from playing regularly, and next season he will be ready to kick on.
