A number of Rangers players have been off on international duty over the last week, with mixed results for Ibrox stars.

Ianis Hagi had a disappointing night with Romania on Sunday, as he was involved in a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Norway before appearing to criticise his manager Mirel Radoi.

There were better fortunes for Glen Kamara though, as he was in action for Finland against Bulgaria on Sunday evening.

Finland claimed a 2-0 win in Helsinki, as Robert Taylor and Fredrik Jensen both got themselves on the scoresheet in an impressive win.

Kamara has been receiving praise for his performance though, Lansi-Uusimaa in Finland claiming that he was ‘having a great game’ in the middle of the park.

They added that the torrential rain in Helsinki seemed to be spurring Kamara on if anything, stamping his authority on the game rather than letting adverse weather affect him.

After so long playing in England and Scotland, a bit of rain certainly won’t affect Kamara, and this praise is just another step in a great season.

The 24-year-old appeared to be struggling earlier in 2020, but has started this season in fine form, starring under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.

Having impressed on the international stage too, Kamara’s confidence should be sky-high – and he will be looking to take this praise into Saturday’s huge Old Firm derby with Celtic.
