Ally McCoist has criticised Rangers star Glen Kamara twice for the same reason in the second half, during his role as co-commentator on BT Sport. The Gers suffered a 1-0 loss to Braga, but are still in with a shout at Ibrox.

Kamara, 26, came into the starting line-up having been benched against Celtic on Sunday in the Old Firm derby. The Finland international lasted the entire 90 minutes, with Aaron Ramsey remaining an unused substitute.

Abel Ruiz scored the only goal of the game after Rangers struggled to get going in the first 45. But the introduction of Kemar Roofe and Joe Aribo changed the tide, and the Gers finished strong without equalising.

Rangers legend McCoist was hugely critical of ex-Arsenal midfielder Kamara for his passing in the second half. Giving the ball away with a couple of misplaced passes, McCoist branded the midfielder as “slack”.

On 61 minutes, McCoist said: “That’s a really poor pass from Kamara. He has no idea where is passing it, or to who. Has to do better.” Then, on 66 mins: “Slack from Kamara, really slack. It is a simple pass from Tavernier.”

McCoist on Kamara: Rangers star might be looking to move in summer

Kamara is far from his best at the moment. Dropped for John Lundstram in recent matches, as well as the return of Ryan Jack, the £10million-rated ace (Record) might be looking towards the summer for a move.

Indeed, now a fringe player under Giovanni van Bronckhorst and with the Gers likely to have to sell before they can buy, Kamara is one of a list of names that the Gers might end up selling.
