Rangers are reportedly plotting a move for Steven Davis.

Glasgow Rangers are reported to be planning a move for Southampton’s Steven Davis in January.
The Belfast Telegraph claim the Gers want Davis on loan, with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.
A move would help directly address one of Rangers’ key shortcomings in their Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Aberdeen.
Davis is the type of player Rangers lacked. He is both experienced, and creative, used to playing in big games.
His experience at international level would have helped him on the big stage, and of course he has been at Rangers before, featuring in multiple cup finals for the Gers.
Midfield talents Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria failed to impress in the big game, and a veteran like Davis would have really helped.

Davis has been linked ever since the summer, but the Belfast Telegraph‘s report on Monday shows Rangers are determined to make progress with a deal.
The paper claims Davis is ‘frustrated’ at a lack of chances at Southampton and this is one potential deal which makes sense all round.
