Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers have brought Scott Arfield to Ibrox from Burnley, with Steven Gerrard taking charge of the Gers.

Arfield has joined Rangers in the summer transfer window after leaving Burnley in the Premier League in England.
The 29-year-old Canada international midfielder has moved to the Gers on a free transfer, with his contract at the Clarets running out at the end of this season.
The former Huddersfield Town midfielder played with Barton at Burnley, and he has revealed that the ex-Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers star advised him to join Rangers.
Barton moved to Rangers in the summer of 2016 after leaving Burnley, but the Englishman parted company with the Ibrox club in November of that year.

“I spoke to Joe,” Arfield told Herald Scotland. “He told me fully, 100 per cent, to go for it and take this opportunity.
“I understand that he left here on bad terms, but he certainly doesn’t bad-mouth the club in any way.
“He was full of encouragement about everything. How the place is run, the training ground, the fans, the stature of the club.
“I picked his brains because I am good mates with Joe and I wanted to get his version on things. He rubber-stamped this as the best move for me.”

Smart signing
Arfield has proved himself in the Championship and in the Premier League in England, and the midfielder will not have too much of a problem in adapting to the football in the Scottish Premiership.
With the midfielder arriving at Ibrox on a free transfer, he is a smart singing indeed for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
