Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers remain keen on Jordan Jones it seems.

Six months on from that bid, Rangers remain interested in Jordan Jones it seems.
Back in January, the Gers raised eyebrows by lodging a £350,000 offer for the Kilmarnock star, with Steve Clark claiming via BBC Sport that the bid was ‘nowhere near acceptable’.
It was a fair assessment by Clark but, if rumours are to be believed, they are going back for the 23-year-old winger – worth £1 million, say The Scotsman – and if they get him, it would be a massive sign of Steven Gerrard’s pull in Glasgow.
According to the print edition of The Mirror [17/06/2018, page 68], the new Rangers boss wants to convince Jones to snub a move to Derby County in favour of joining the Gers.
Joining Frank Lampard’s Derby side would be a brilliant career move for the Northern Ireland international, because the Championship is that bit closer to the Premier League and surely the majority of Scotland-based footballers would dream of plying their trade in England’s top tier one day.

But if Jones were to reject a switch to the Rams in favour of joining Gerrard in the Premiership then it has very positive and very exciting implications for the Scottish giants.
It would indicate that Rangers, like Old Firm rivals Celtic, can compete and beat Championship clubs to top players, which hasn’t been the case at Ibrox for quite some time.
Everyone knows that Gerrard is an unproven quantity as a manager, having only managed Liverpool’s Under-18 side prior to this, but it certainly seems as if he has enough clout as a former player to attract top talent to Ibrox and Jones snubbing Derby for the Gers would prove this.
