Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers wouldn’t like if Nick Powell winds up at Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

There’s no rest for the wicked and Rangers are reportedly eyeing another signing – and this one, if it happens, would annoy Celtic.
Rangers’ acquisition of Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis is one thing – they weren’t really on Celtic’s radar, but Nick Powell is, if rumours are believed.
According to Team Talk, Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is a fan of the English playmaker and wants him at Parkhead.
But The Scottish Sun reported today that Gers manager Steven Gerrard wants to bring the Wigan star to Ibrox.
The 24-year-old is out of contract with the Championship outfit this summer and is therefore allowed to speak to clubs outside of England now.
The Defoe deal wouldn’t have hurt Rodgers, who has several brilliant goalscorers at his disposal, and although Davis is a class act, the Celtic boss has younger models than the 34-year-old.
But Powell is a talent who would play every week for the Bhoys and it wouldn’t sit well with the Northern Irishman if Gerrard beats him to his signature.
It would illustrate, for the first time in a long time, that Rangers can attract the same big-name players as Celtic and what a kick in the teeth that would represent for Rodgers.
