Rangers have brought in two new signings this weekend, with a real view towards the future with their new additions.
Northern Irish teenager Charlie Lindsay joined on Friday, and Rangers struck another deal on Saturday evening.
The Gers confirmed they have agreed a deal for Leicester City full back Calvin Bassey, with the youngster signing a pre-contract agreement.
Bassey, 20, has been coming up through the Leicester ranks. However, with no irst-team opportunities to speak of, he has now decided to move on.
Capable of playing at centre back, Bassey is predominantly a left back. With Andy Halliday and Jon Flanagan both leaving Rangers this summer, Bassey could emerge as cover for Borna Barisic.
Bassey is looking for his big break, and Rangers will feel they have landed a major coup having beaten a number of clubs to his signature.

Leicester players took to Instagram to send messages to Bassey, with James Maddison praising im as ‘some player’, whilst Kelechi Iheanacho and Hamza Choudhury both wished him luck.
Foxes fans have also been reacting to the move, praising him as being a powerful defender with a turn of pace and a real force going forward.
Some think it’s a real shame and a surprise that Leicester haven’t managed to keep Bassey, with most supporters backing him for a big future at Ibrox.
