The Brentford midfielder has admitted he’d relish a return to Ibrox and Rangers should bring him back to Glasgow.

Rangers have had a much improved second half of the season under the guidance of Graeme Murty.
Since taking over from Pedro Caixinha, who had a torrid time as Gers boss, Murty has improved the performances at Ibrox. They have even stayed reasonably in touch with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race.
So there will be some excitement ahead of the summer as they look to build a side that can compete with Celtic for the title.
One idea Rangers fans would like to see become reality is some former players returning to the club – to truly signify their incredible turnaround after their financial plight.
A player they should definitely consider bringing back to Glasgow is midfielder Lewis MacLeod.
He left the club among their off-field troubles back in January 2015, joining Championship side Brentford for a fee in the region of £850,000.

But he never really wanted to leave. When he made the transfer he was quoted by the Daily Mail as stating:
“When you’re a Rangers fan, it’s hard to let go and I’ve never experienced anything else in football up to now.
“I definitely wasn’t eager to get out the door but when the opportunity came, with everything that was happening outside football at the club, I leant towards moving away.
“I’d love to go back to Rangers later in my career.
“I’d obviously like to be welcomed back at some point but I understand why some supporters might not appreciate my reasons for going.”
Now Rangers are in a stronger financial footing perhaps Macleod returning, could be a brilliant opportunity for him to get his career back on track.
Macleod has had a torrid time at Griffin Park since making his move. He suffered a series of bizarre and unfortunate injuries – including to his hamstring and knee – which has decimated his Brentford career.

After just one appearance in 18 months at the club he got back into action last season but suffered a knee injury in October 2016 and made his comeback from that issue in December 2017 and has since made five appearances this season.
Macleod is a player Rangers will know has all the talent necessary to make it in the Scottish Premiership.
Injuries have been his tormentor since leaving Ibrox, but it seems he might finally be clear of the worst and ready to play on a regular basis again.
Where better to continue a comeback then at his beloved Rangers.
