Glasgow Rangers manager Graeme Murty should include Ibrox duo Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings in the Gers’ starting lineup against Falkirk.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on January 24, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Following the win against Ayr United in the Scottish Cup last month, Rangers manager Graeme Murty told The Glasgow Evening Times that he could pair Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings again.

Murty should follow up on that suggestion this weekend and include the two strikers in the Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against Falkirk at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Morelos and Cummings are two of the best and most talented strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and the 21-year-old and the 22-year-old will be a handful for the Falkirk defenders.

Starting the Colombian and the Scotsman will not only help Rangers batter Falkirk, but it will also send a strong message to Celtic ahead of the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on March 11.

Jason Cummings of Hibernian vies with Wes Foderingham of Rangers during the Scottish Cup Final between Rangers and Hibernian at Hampden Park on May 21, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic have the best squad in Scotland, but Rangers are in great form at the moment, and a strong win combined with three or four goals this weekend is going to send a stern warning to the Hoops.

If Morelos and Cummings start and do well this weekend, then manager Murty should start the Rangers strikers together against Celtic and put Rodgers’s defence under pressure right from the first minute.
