Glasgow Rangers were linked with bringing Emerson Hyndman back to Ibrox during the January transfer window.

Unsurprisingly after the brilliant start Sean Goss has made to life at Ibrox, Graeme Murty has already suggested, as reported by the Daily Record, that he would love to land the Queens Park Rangers midfielder on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

And based on how Goss has played since arriving in the Scottish Premiership, it seems highly unlikely that QPR’s desire to keep him will subside in the coming months, so Rangers should arguably start considering alternative options.
One player who was also linked during the January transfer window and knows Rangers very well is Emerson Hyndman, and perhaps he should be a player that they look at in the summer.
The Sun reported in January that the Gers were keen on bringing the USA international back to the club one year after his previous loan spell, which was arguably a success with Hyndman often proving to be one of the side’s better performers during his time there.

Hyndman is yet to feature in the Premier League for Bournemouth and has only been able to make a handful of cup appearances this season, so letting him leave for the season may not be something the Cherries are against the idea of.
Keeping Goss should be Rangers’ priority this summer if he maintains this form for the rest of the season, but if QPR make it clear that they are not selling under any circumstances, then trying to bring Hyndman back may be a very smart move from the Gers.
