Rangers should be looking at adding another exciting young winger to Steven Gerrard’s squad.

It was not clear at the time, but Rangers’ best piece of business last January was the under the radar signing of Glenn Middleton.
Middleton went into Rangers’ under-20 side after joining from Norwich, and his performances stood out.
By pre-season, Middleton had worked his way into Rangers’ first team.
Now he is a regular part of the Rangers team, with 26 appearances, five goals and five assists this season. At just 19, Middleton is an exciting part of Rangers’ future.
Now they should be looking to double up and replicate the deal, with a move for promising talent Aidan Fitzpatrick.

The 17-year-old is currently on Partick Thistle’s books, making 14 first team appearances this season.
The young winger has three goals and two assists for the second-tier side so far.
Fitzpatrick would be an astute signing for Rangers, and they would not have to play him straight away.
The Gers could loan him back to Partick, or let him develop for their under-20s like Middleton.
If by next season he is contributing to their first team, then like Middleton, he could become one of their smartest pieces of business in a while.
