Aston Villa’s Andre Green would thrive at Scottish Premiership giants Rangers.

Aston Villa’s Andre Green is flying high at the moment after he helped his boyhood club earn promotion to the Premier League, but could the youngster now benefit from some time out on loan?
The Scottish Sun recently claimed that Scottish Premiership side Rangers have been dealt a blow in their quest to sign Liverpool’s Ryan Kent for a second spell after Villa joined the race for the £10 million man.
Given the fact that Rangers may not be able to re-sign Kent this summer, they should turn their attention to Villa’s talented attacker Green.
In January, he returned from his loan spell at League One side Portsmouth, but despite a number of strong performances from the bench, he wasn’t able to cement his place in Villa’s starting XI
There’s no doubt that the 20-year-old would benefit from a season-long loan at a club like Rangers, who are on the up under Steven Gerrard as they aim to win the Scottish Premiership title next season.
Now Villa are a Premier League club again, manager Dean Smith will be looking to bolster his new squad even further, especially in the wide areas, and it won’t be a surprise to see Green’s game time reduced.

Versatile attacker Green has a future at Villa, but both he and Rangers could benefit from him moving to Ibrox in the summer because just like Kent, Gerrard can take his game to another level and vice versa.
Green’s favoured position is playing on the left-hand side because he loves cutting onto his right foot, but for most parts, he has played on the right under Smith.
This is down to the form of Anwar El Ghazi, but playing on the right has developed Green’s game in being comfortable with both feet and improving his footballing intelligence, with and without the ball.
