Glasgow Rangers fans would probably not be surprised if goalkeeper Wes Foderingham wanted to leave Ibrox this summer.

There can surely be no question that one of Rangers’ most inspired deals in the transfer market in recent times was the move to bring Allan McGregor back on a free transfer last summer.
McGregor has been outstanding since his return to Ibrox and was arguably one of the players that could have potentially stopped Alfredo Morelos winning the club’s Player of the Year award.
Steven Gerrard will feel assured that he can rely on McGregor for next season. But perhaps he may need to find a new understudy as it would be little surprise if Wes Foderingham was keen to move on having been the number one at Rangers up until this season.
Replacing Foderingham will not be an easy task if he does want to go. He is arguably better than most of the first-choice options in the Scottish Premiership. But if he does head off, then perhaps the Gers should use their seemingly good relationship with one of their opponents this season to land a player that could be Premier League-bound.

The Sunday People (14/4; page 55) reported at the weekend that Tottenham lead the charge to sign Marko Malenica, but there are a number of English top flight sides keen on the Osijek stopper, who could cost just £1 million.
For that price, the 25-year-old could be a real bargain. And given that Rangers have already managed to sign both Borna Barisic and Eros Grezda during Gerrard’s time in charge, perhaps the Gers should enter the running in the hope that they can see off the competition from the Premier League sides.

In Malenica, they would have a goalkeeper who is good enough to push McGregor and will be heading into his peak years when the former Scotland international hangs up his gloves in the coming years.
Rangers seemingly have the contacts to give them a real chance of signing a player that Mauricio Pochettino would reportedly like to bring into his Spurs squad this summer.
