The Norwich City player is exactly what Rangers need to improve the heart of their team.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has a lot of work to do this summer, as he bids to build a side capable of challenging Celtic for the Scottish Premiership next season and beyond.
While he has plenty of exciting youngsters coming through the ranks, and a few experienced players showing how it should be done, he would be wise to sign a central midfielder who can add steel and passion to the side’s core.
As luck would have it, one is about to become a free agent in the form of Youssouf Mulumbu.
The 30-year-old is out of contract this summer, and with Norwich City opting not to offer him a new deal he is likely to have plenty of suitors well aware of his talent.
Mulumbu may have featured sparingly this season but there is no doubting his quality and his experience, as his 211 appearances for West Bromwich Albion testify.
He is vastly experienced and is exactly the type of player Rangers need as they bid to challenge their fierce rivals and make Ibrox a fortress once more.

Caixinha will no doubt have plenty of names in the hat; however he should consider looking at the free agent market, with Mulumbu not the only soon-to-be released Norwich player worth taking a punt on.
Rangers’ current midfield options have been found wanting in recent matches against Celtic and a change is needed sooner rather than later.
