Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers should rival Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic for Scott Bain.

According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are keen on signing Scott Bain on a permanent basis this summer, but should Rangers also challenge to sign him?
Bain has impressed since joining Celtic on a half-season loan from Dundee, making a big impression in the win over Rangers earlier this month and the 0-0 draw with Motherwell.
Hibernian boss Neil Lennon told The Scotsman on March 14 that he too was interested in signing the 26-year-old, and if he is involved then why aren’t the Gers?
Wes Foderingham is having a good season at Ibrox but the lack of decent cover for the former Swindon Town keeper suggests that someone of Bain’s talents wouldn’t go amiss.

In addition to that, the Rangers star, signed by Mark Warburton in 2015, is having a shaky 2018 so far and his form is a reminder over why Graeme Murty could really do with signing a new goalkeeper.
Bain has a taste of first-team football at Celtic now, so it may be difficult for any other manager to convince him that it’s in his best interests to leave, but there is no reason why those on the blue side of the Old Firm divide shouldn’t be competing for his signature if Hibs are in the mix.
