Rangers striker Joe Garner is being linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer, with Championship side Ipswich Town said to be keen on his signature.
It is reported by The Express that the Tractor Boys are ready to launch a £500,000 bid to sign the former Preston North End striker, who only headed to Glasgow last summer in a deal worth £1.4 million.
General view of Ibrox – Rangers
Rangers’ new manager Pedro Caixinha is looking to build his own squad at Ibrox and that may see Garner moved on.
However, Rangers would be foolish to make a £900,000 loss on the player. If Ipswich want the 29-year-old, the Glasgow club should only sell him if they throw Kundai Benyu in on top.

The 19-year-old’s contract at Ipswich expires at the end of June and he has no intention of remaining at the club. His brilliant form on loan at Aldershot Town this campaign has however seen him linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Old Firm rivals Celtic by the Daily Mail, along with several other clubs.
The midfielder will be available for a compensation fee, but if Rangers ask Ipswich to include him in any Garner deal before his contract expires, they could bypass such a procedure and get their hands on a top talent in the process.
