Rangers are on the verge of a new signing with Manchester United’s young midfielder Charlie McCann set for a move to Ibrox.
Reports from the Daily Record late last night suggested that McCann was close to signing for Steven Gerrard’s men.
The Athletic added that McCann was in Glasgow earlier today for a medical, and The Manchester Evening News add that the deal is worth £750,000.
The deal hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but Rangers look to be on the verge of a potentially exciting deal.
McCann, 19, has hit five goals and three assists in 21 games for United’s Under-23’s, with 12 goals and four assists in 41 outings for the Under-18’s.
United signed McCann in 2018 but seemingly feel that he won’t emerge in the first team, so are prepared to offload him to Rangers now.

Gers fans will want to know what United supporters think of McCann, and many seem to hold him in high regard as he prepares to make his move to Ibrox.
Fans took to Twitter to suggest that McCann’s exit is a ‘real shame’, adding that the deal ‘sucks’ and has ruined their day.
Others are finding the deal ‘very surprising’ and feel that McCann will end up back in England one day having been a ‘great asset’ at Old Trafford.
