The Rangers winger was injured during his debut for Steven Gerrard’s side at Ibrox this month.

The Rangers winger Serge Atakayi remains on crutches nine days after undergoing surgery.
Atakayi suffered an injury on his first team debut against Motherwell earlier this month, but was forced off minutes after his introduction in Rangers’ 7-1 win at Ibrox.
The Finnish winger later shared a photo of himself walking with aides whilst wearing a protective boot, with another post showing him en route to London, presumably for treatment.
Those suspicions were later confirmed by Atakayi on Instagram, where he uploaded the following image on Thursday:
Post Motherwell, the Rangers manager Steven Gerrard suggested his side could be without Atakayi for ‘a short time’. As things stand, however, it is unlikely that the 2016 Ibrox recruit will return in the near future.
The 19-year-old has had to bide his time since arriving at Rangers, but took advantage of Daniel Candeias’s suspension and injuries to Ryan Kent and Jamie Murphy to make the bench against the Steelmen.
What does the future hold for Atakayi at Rangers?
