Glasgow Rangers have bolstered their ranks ahead of what’s shaping up to be a big season for Steven Gerrard, the Ibrox camp and the Bears.

Glasgow Rangers ace Ryan Jack has admitted that he “didn’t know any” of the Ibrox new arrivals before they joined but has been impressed with how they have fared at Rangers’ warm-weather training camp (official Gers website).
The Gers have spent the last week in the Algarve, with Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard and his coaches putting the players through their paces as they gear up for a crucial season full of optimism and potential.
Rangers have had a busy transfer window so far with Steven Davis, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie, Greg Stewart, George Edmundson, Sheyi Ojo and Joe Aribo all coming on board at Ibrox ahead of a campaign in which a return to silverware and glory seems closer than ever before.
“I didn’t know any of the new boys before they arrived but they have all gelled really well,” Jack, who made 46 appearances in all competitions for Rangers last term (Transfermarkt), told the official club website. “Even in training so far you can see they all have their own qualities and what they are going to bring.

“That’s what the camp is for, for gelling and everyone getting together. I am sure when the first game comes we will be a tight squad and be ready for it. We are tired, it is tough, you are away from home and it is two sessions a day. It is hard work but this is the stage of the season, it is where you put all the ground work in and you build your fitness for when the games do start.”
Rangers made huge progress last term, being in the Scottish Premiership title race for much of the campaign and twice beating their Old Firm rivals, who in turn have challenges of their own this summer in terms of their squad and criticism in some quarters over their new permanent manager.
The Light Blues’ wade into competitive action in two weeks’ time, facing the winner of the Europa League preliminary round tie between FC Prishtina of Kosovo or Gibraltar side St Joseph’s in the first round of the competition, the first leg taking place away from home on July 11, with the return leg taking place at Ibrox on July 18.
