Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers have been linked with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is on the verge of accepting the Rangers managerial role, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that Rangers and former Liverpool midfielder Gerrard have held fresh talks.

It has also been reported that the former England international will bring in Jordan Milsom and Tom Culshaw with him from the Reds.

Milsom is the lead fitness coach for Gerrard’s Liverpool U18 side, while Culshaw is working as the Under-18 assistant manager at the Reds at the moment.

Scott Arfield deal imminent

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have agreed a deal to sign Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield.

It has been reported that the 29-year-old midfielder will sign a four-year contract with the Gers after passing a medical.

It has also been claimed that 36-year-old Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor will put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Rangers next week.

Good deal

Arfield, who earns £23,000 per week as salary at Burnley according to Spotrac.com, is a very good and experienced midfielder.

The 29-year-old Canada international will bring with him a wealth of experience to Ibrox, and Rangers fans should be excited to see the midfielder in action.
