Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is looking to bring new signings to Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard is unveiled as the new manager of Rangers football Club at Ibrox Stadium on May 4, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers have brought in two new signings this summer, with Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield both arriving on pre-contract agreements from Hull City and Burnley respectively.

The Gers still need more additions though, as new manager Steven Gerrard needs major improvements to his squad in order to try and chase down Celtic at the summit of Scottish football.

Rangers continue to be linked with a host of new signings, with major backing expected for Gerrard – and he may call for a few favours from former club Liverpool this summer.

The Express report that Rangers and Gerrard are pursuing loan deals for Liverpool wingers Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn, with Rangers in desperate need of options out wide.

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp surely can’t loan all three players to Rangers given that at least one of them would be left out of the Gers side, potentially stunting their development.

If Rangers are to land two of them, then Woodburn and Wilson figure to be the best pair for the Gers. Woodburn has the greatest potential of the trio, whilst Wlison is the most proven having hit seven goals and three assists in 13 games on loan at Hull City last season.

Harry Wilson of Hull City runs with the ball during the Sky Bet Championship match between Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday at KCOM Stadium on April 14, 2018 in Hull, England.

Tactically, Rangers would be able to use Wilson and Woodburn on the right and left respectively, cutting in on their strong side to cause mayhem, with Kent possibly just a third choice, even though he is quick and can play on either wing.

Kent, 21, struggled out on loan at Freiburg and Bristol City last season and whilst he could be a decent addition for Rangers, the Gers should be focusing on Wilson and Woodburn of their Liverpool-based targets.
