Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is interested in bringing Lyle Taylor to Ibrox in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

It has been reported that Rangers are among a number of clubs who want to secure the services of the 30-year-old striker this summer.

Burnley, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Stoke City and Preston North End are also looking into the possibility of signing the Charlton Athletic striker on a free transfer this summer, according to the report.

The 30-year-old striker is out of contract at the Addicks this summer and will become a free agent.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Taylor has made 17 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Charlton so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist in the process.

Wowed by Joe Aribo

Taylor played with Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo at Charlton, and the Montserrat international striker has been hugely impressed by the Nigeria international, as shown by the following tweets.

With Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe the top two strikers at Rangers at the moment, Taylor will likely to be the third choice should he make the move to Ibrox this summer.
