Rangers are reportedly keen on bringing defender Jake Cooper to Ibrox this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Rangers are keen to bring in Millwall ace Jake Cooper as a replacement for the outgoing Bruno Alves this summer.
The Gers have already added two new centre backs this summer in Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic, but Alves’ imminent move to Parma means Rangers may well dip back into the transfer market.
It’s now believed that Steven Gerrard’s new top target at centre back is Millwall’s Jake Cooper, though it’s claimed he would cost seven figures to prise away from the Lions.

Cooper, 23, came up through the ranks with Reading, starring in the 2015-16 season before being cast aside by Jaap Stam, resulting in a loan move to Millwall.
That move became permanent last summer, and Cooper was a mainstay under Neil Harris, bagging four goals in 42 games as he impressed in the heart of the Millwall defence.
Millwall have though added another left-sided centre back this summer in Murray Wallace, and Rangers may now look to take advantage by attempting to take Cooper to Ibrox.

Millwall fans have unsurprisingly had plenty to say about the matter, with some telling Gerrard to stay away from Cooper as they want him to stay at The New Den.
Other Lions supporters suggested fees of £3million, £5million or £7million for Cooper, with the general consensus that Rangers would have to pay up to land him – even if one fan feels a move makes sense after signing Wallace.
