Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want former Gers striker Ross McCormack on loan at Ibrox, with Sunderland also claimed to be interested in the Aston Villa man.

Rangers are reportedly keen on securing the services of McCormack on loan from Villa in the summer transfer window.
The Villans are claimed to have told the former Leeds United striker to find a loan move this month and are also willing to cover almost all of his £40,000-a-week wages.
TEAMtalk has reported of interest in the 31-year-old Scotland international striker from Jack Ross’s Sunderland in League One in England and clubs in Turkey, although the former Fulham star is claimed to prefer to stay in Great Britain.
Good move for Rangers?
McCormack started his professional club football career at Rangers and knows all about the Glasgow giants.
The former Motherwell striker would not be fazed by the prospect of playing in front of the demanding Ibrox fans, and he would also strengthen Gerrard’s team.

Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq are talented and promising strikers, but the duo are very young and McCormack will offer a lot more experience.
Perhaps McCormack will prefer Rangers to Sunderland, as the Gers are in the Scottish Premiership and challenging for the title whereas the Black Cats are in the third tier of English football.
