Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring Connor Goldson to Ibrox, with the Brighton and Hove Albion defender and Gers target claimed to be a Liverpool fan.

It has been reported that Rangers had an initial bid of £1.5m offer for the centre-back turned down last week.

The Daily Mail has also claimed that the former Shrewsbury Town star is a lifelong Liverpool supporter and is a fan of Gerrard, who is one of the greatest players in the history of the Reds.
It has also been reported that Goldson, who earns £20,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, wants to speak to Rangers and is hopefully that Brighton will allow him to do just that.

Good defender
Goldson is a good defender, and the 25-year-old would be a very good signing for Rangers, especially if the Ibrox club are able to secure his services of £2m.
The defender managed to play just 199 minutes of the Premier League football this season, and perhaps the Seagulls would be make it hard for him to leave for Rangers in the summer transfer window.
