Rangers are close to bringing AS Roma striker Umar Sadiq to Ibrox, according to STV.
It has been reported that Rangers are in advanced discussions with Sadiq and Roma over signing the striker on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.

The Gers are claimed to be hopeful of completing a deal in time for the 21-year-old striker to join Steven Gerrard’s squad for their training camp in Spain.

Good singing for Rangers?
Sadiq is still developing and progressing as a striker, but there is no doubt that the Nigerian is hugely talented.
That Roma paid Spezia £2 million in transfer fees in 2016 in order to to secure the services of the Nigeria Under-23 international striker, as reported by The Scottish Sun, underlines his potential and calibre.

Convincing to switch to Rangers?
Earlier this month, Sadiq told Owngoalnigeria.com that he would be open to working with Liverpool legend Gerrard, but the youngster suggested that his plan at the moment was to remain at Roma and try to break into the Italian club’s first team.
However, it seems that Rangers have been able to change Sadiq’s mind and are reportedly on the verge of securing his services on a season-long loan deal.
