Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers are reportedly interested in former Celtic prospect Aaron Hickey.

Glasgow Rangers want to sign Aaron Hickey in the January transfer window, but by doing so, the Ibrox club will make their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic richer by more than half a million pounds.
According to The Scottish Sun, new Rangers sporting director Wilson will urge Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard to make a £2 million move for Heart of Midlothian defender Hickey.
The 17-year-old is a very promising and talented young left-back, and the teenager would be a very good long-term signing for Rangers.
However, it seems that the Gers will make their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic richer by £600,000 if they secure the services of the Scotland Under-17 international from Hearts in January.

According to The Edinburgh Evening News, Celtic are due 30% of any transfer as part of an agreement which saw the left-back move to Hearts from the Hoops in 2018.
So if Rangers sign the youngster for £2m, then the Hoops will take £600,000.
