James Tavernier had a bit of a mare for Rangers today.

The Gers missed the chance to move back above Celtic at the summit of the Scottish Premiership by drawing 1-1 away to Hearts.

Rangers fell behind on six minutes when Ryotaro Meshino volleyed home from outside the box after a woeful error from the light Blues’ right-back.

Tavernier attempted to head the ball back to Allan McGregor, but got it dreadfully wrong.

It isn’t the first time that the English defender has made a mistake this month, after a shocker against Young Boys in the Europa League a few weeks back.

Naturally, Tavernier riled a few Rangers fans with his mistake, but Sheyi Ojo’s horror show didn’t go unnnoticed by the supports either. Ojo, on loan from Liverpool, was relatively anonymous. When he did get the ball, he did very little with it.
