Glasgow Rangers return to Ibrox this weekend looking to make it five wins on the bounce in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Scottish Cup Quarter final match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on March 4, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers face St Johnstone at Ibrox on Saturday looking to make it five wins on the bounce in the Scottish Premiership following their 2-1 victory over Hibernian on Wednesday night.

Graeme Murty’s men were certainly not at their best at Easter Road and fell behind early on. However, two goals in quick succession just before half-time from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos saw the Gers turn the game on its head. And despite some nervy moments in the second-half, the Light Blues managed to hold on for another valuable three points.

St Johnstone have endured a real mixed time of it lately, losing two and winning two of their last four games to leave themselves in mid-table in the top flight.

Both of those victories for Tommy Wright’s men have come on their travels, so they will be confident that they may be able to replicate Hamilton’s recent achievement and come away from Ibrox with the three points.

Candeias of Rangers vies with Christie Elliott of Partick Thistle during the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

In terms of the lineup Murty selects, it may not be too great a surprise to see the interim boss name predominantly the same side that started against Hibs.

Kenny Miller had to be taken off early against Neil Lennon’s side, so he may be replaced by Daniel Candeais once again on Saturday. But that may well be the only change that Murty makes, with Jamie Barjonas keeping his place in the team after a decent performance in midweek.
