Glasgow Rangers will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing at Ibrox last weekend.

Rangers travel to Kilmarnock this weekend looking to get back to winning ways after they suffered their first defeat in five games in their most recent clash.

The Gers appeared to be well on their way to making it five victories on the spin last Saturday as Alfredo Morelos gave the home side the lead against St Johnstone, but the visitors managed to score three times before the full-time whistle to deny Graeme Murty’s side the chance to move to within two points of Celtic.

Rangers interim manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and St Johnstone at Ibrox Stadium on December 16, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Saturday promises to be another tough afternoon for the Light Blues however, as Killie go into the contest having won three and drawn one of their last four games and have lost just twice since what would prove to be Pedro Caixinha’s final game in charge of Rangers back in October.

What may make it tougher for Murty is the number of Rangers players who will be unavailable due to injury – with the likes of Kenny Miller and Graham Dorrans set to miss out, and the game surely coming too soon for Lee Wallace – but there does appear to be some more positive news on the injury front.

Murty recently suggested, in comments reported by the Daily Record, that Fabio Cardoso and Carlos Pena will be available for the clash at Rugby Park, and it is the latter that we expect to come back into the side, replacing Daniel Candeias.

If Cardoso is fully fit, then perhaps it may not be a huge surprise to see him replace Bruno Alves, whose form has been criticised by the supporters lately, while the likes of Niko Kranjcar, Jamie Barjonas and Eduardo Herrera may also come into Murty’s thinking ahead of Saturday’s game.
