Glasgow Rangers return to Scottish Premiership action after the Ibrox side’s successful trip in the Scottish Cup last weekend.

Rangers imanager Graeme Murty is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on January 24, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers return to Scottish Premiership action this weekend as they travel to Hamilton Academical looking to build upon their recent impressive form on the road.

The Gers have won their last four away matches in all competitions, scoring 13 goals in the process, including six in the emphatic Scottish Cup win over Ayr last weekend.

The game against Accies will also give Graeme Murty’s men a great chance to avenge the surprise home defeat that they suffered at the hands of Hamilton back in November.

One player who will certainly be hoping to keep his place in the Rangers side is Greg Docherty, with the midfielder swapping Accies for Ibrox during the January transfer window. However, while the fans may be keen to see Docherty remain alongside Sean Goss in the middle of the park, it may not be a surprise to see Jason Holt return to the fold.

Jason Holt of Rangers tracked by James Forrest of Celtic during the Betfred Cup Semi-Final match between Rangers and Celtic at Hampden Park on October 23, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Meanwhile, another change that may not be a surprise concerns Jason Cummings. Cummings was used in a front two alongside Alfredo Morelos at Ayr, and while there were some positive signs from the pair, Murty may be hesitant to deploy a front two in the league at this stage.

Therefore, it may be fair to suggest that the most likely outcome will be for Rangers to revert to the shape that they had been using in the league recently, with Morelos starting up top on his own with Josh Windass fluctuating between the midfield and attack.

In Cummings’ place, Daniel Candeias may perhaps return to the wing having been an unused substitute for the trip to Ayr. Candeias has been prolific with assists this term, and Murty will be hoping that he can create a few more that will allow the Gers to replicate the 4-1 win that they secured at the same ground earlier in the campaign.

With that in mind, here is a look at the predicted lineup…
