Glasgow Rangers will be looking to book their place in the next round, will Jason Cummings make his first start for the Ibrox side?

Rangers will be hoping to follow up their back-to-back wins since the resumption of the Scottish Premiership season by avoiding a major upset when they take on Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup on Wednesday night.
With the tie taking place on deadline day, some Rangers fans may be hoping that Graeme Murty has one eye on any potential transfer business during the final hours of the January window. But he will be determined to give Fraserburgh his full attention, especially as he will have seen what the shock defeat to Progres in the summer did for Pedro Caixinha’s reputation.

With that in mind, it seems likely that Murty will pick a fairly strong squad for the clash on Wednesday, with a couple of the Gers’ January signings getting the chance to make their first starts for the club.
The most notable inclusion in the predicted lineup is Jason Cummings. The striker has already endeared himself to the Ibrox faithful by scoring what would prove to be the winning goal in the narrow victory over Ross County at the weekend, so perhaps he will get the chance to make his first start after two substitute appearances.

Eduardo Herrera may perhaps get the chance given that Cummings will almost definitely feature more prominently in the league in the coming weeks, while this may perhaps represent a rare opportunity for the Mexican summer signing. But the loanee starting seems a smarter move.
Elsewhere, Greg Docherty may also make his first start having featured for the final 15 minutes at the weekend, with Andy Haliday playing alongside him in the middle of the park.
The game may represent a chance for a rare start for the likes of Jak Alnwick, Lee Hodson, Michael O’Halloran and Niko Kranjcar, with players like Josh Windass and James Tavernier ensuring that the Gers have some of their key men involved.
With that in mind, here is a look at the predicted lineup in full…
