Rangers beat Celtic 1-0 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
Rangers have moved level on points with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership after beating the Bhoys 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Gers went into the game having only drawn 1-1 with Hibernian in midweek, meaning Celtic were favourites as they headed to Ibrox.
However, Rangers produced a superb performance at Ibrox as they blew Celtic away in the first half, and should have been in front even before Ryan Jack scored.
Ryan Kent’s superb run, dragback and pass set up Jack to shoot, with his effort taking a deflection off Celtic captain Scott Brown and into the net.
Celtic were poor and uninspired whilst Rangers embraced a raucous atmosphere at Ibrox to pick up a vital victory, and remind Celtic that they really are in a title race this time.
After the game, Rangers players took to Twitter to react to the win, with Daniel Candeias and James Tavernier both celebrating a fine win.
Defender Joe Worrall sang a line from the famous Rangers chant ‘The Blue Sea of Ibrox’, whilst Alfredo Morelos controversially posted a photo of himself, but just after he had seemingly stamped on Celtic’s Anthony Ralston – and his photo even showed Ralston writhing in agony in the background.
Even misfits Jak Alnwick and Eduardo Herrera – both out on loan right now – took to Twitter to celebrate, summing up just what a great day it was for all connected to Rangers.
