The Rangers defender, Nikola Katic, is facing a potentially significant few months at Ibrox.

The Rangers centre-back, Nikola Katic, appears to have suffered a broken nose in action for Croatia’s Under-21s.
Katic played 62 minutes of his nation’s 1-0 win against Denmark on Wednesday.
Sharing the damage with his Instagram followers earlier today (Thursday), he wrote: “Here we go again”, accompanied by a trio of ‘Grinning Face’ emojis.

Rangers are expected to strengthen in Katic’s position this summer, having seen Gareth McAuley and Joe Worrall depart.
But it remains to be seen whether or not the 22-year-old’s injury will eat into his pre-season campaign, which could have a significant bearing on his future at Ibrox.
Katic, a 2018 capture from Slaven Belupo, endured a mixed first season at Rangers.
He began the season as part of Steven Gerrard’s first-choice centre-back pairing, alongside Connor Goldson.

And despite falling out of contention midway through the campaign, Katic still managed to make 30 appearances in Light Blue.
