Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has told ESPN that he is open to leaving Ibrox in the summer transfer window.

The Colombia international has said that he is focused on Rangers at the moment, but the 24-year-old is not ruling out an exit from Steven Gerrard’s side.

The striker has said that if an opportunity to move to another league comes, then he will analyse it.

Morelos has been linked with a move to Lille in the summer transfer window, with The Daily Mail reporting earlier this month that Rangers have turned down as many as four bids from the French club.

Morelos told ESPN, as translated by The Scottish Sun: “Everything I have done here has attracted much more attention. We are waiting for everything.

“I can’t say if I’m leaving or not, so far I’m a Rangers player and I’m focused on Rangers. If there is an opportunity to move to another league, I will analyse it.”

No big loss for Rangers?

Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is an important figure in the current Rangers team.

However, the 24-year-old may not be indispensable now as he was last season, as manager Gerrard has already signed two new strikers.

Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten have joined Rangers this summer, with Jermain Defoe already at the club.

This means that Gerrard can let Morelos go, and perhaps Rangers could then invest the money in the squad and make it even better.
