Rangers have already landed one exciting summer signing this week, having confirmed the permanent arrival of playmaker Ianis Hagi.

The Gers took Hagi on loan in January, and have seemingly seen enough to bring him to Ibrox full-time in an exciting move.

Rangers are constantly being linked with more and more players despite confusion over the summer transfer window, and one interesting name has emerged.

The Daily Record claim that Rangers have agreed a fee for Ross County teenager James Graham. However, they haven’t been able to agree terms with him yet.

A host of English clubs are keen, including Leeds United. A major threat may come from closer to home though, with bitter rivals Celtic in the mix.

The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic have been trying to enter the race for Graham, so and Old Firm battle is about to break out for a player yet to even turn 16.

Make no mistake, this would be a coup if Rangers can pip the Bhoys. Graham is one of Scottish football’s most promising talents, and his impressive trial at Liverpool goes to show just what a player he is already.

Rangers have done great work at youth level in recent years, and adding Graham would contribute to that, but this would also send a message to the Bhoys.

Celtic have won nine titles in a row whilst Rangers are still seeking a first trophy under Steven Gerrard. It would be understandable for any young player to pick Celtic over Rangers.

If Rangers can push through a deal for Graham, it would show that Rangers have major pulling power. They haven’t managed that so far, but the Gers will be desperate to pip their city rivals to an exciting young talent.
