Rangers signed one Leicester City defender over the weekend, as full back Calvin Bassey agreed a deal to join the Gers at the end of his contract.
The 20-year-old left back has penned a four-year deal at Ibrox. With his Leicester contract expiring this summer, he has decided to move on in search of first-team action.
He could soon be joined by a Leicester teammate though. The Daily Record claim that Rangers want Leicester full back Dennis Gyamfi in a similar deal to Bassey.
Gyamfi, 18, is out of contract this summer too. Leicester are fighting to keep him, but after seeing left back Bassey go, right back Gyamfi may follow him to Glasgow.
The report does though note that Arsenal are also in the race. The Gunners want to sign Gyamfi, but would face paying much higher compensation than Rangers would.
If Rangers can pull this one off, it would be a huge coup. Gyamfi is quick and dangerous going forward, but his play in one on one situations resulted in comparisons to Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Foxes of Leicester.

The teenager has huge potential, and with James Tavernier turning 29 later this year, Gyamfi could emerge as his long-term successor at Ibrox.
Arsenal are a real threat; their right back spot isn’t settled by any means. Hector Bellerin is yet to find his best football since a major knee injury, Cedric Soares is only on loan and Mikel Arteta appears to see Ainsley Maitland-Niles as a midfielder.
That may show Gyamfi that he can play an important role at Arsenal. Managing to tempt him into snubbing the Premier League giants for a move to Ibrox – where he can join Bassey and succeed Tavernier – would be a major win for Rangers, with Gyamfi a potential star of the future.
