The Rangers goalkeeper recently had his spell away from Ibrox extended by Steven Gerrard.

The loaned-out Rangers goalkeeper, Jak Alnwick, is being criticised by some neutral fans.
Rangers recently allowed Alnwick to extend his spell at Scunthorpe United until the end of the season, after he impressed for the side managed by the former Ibrox player and manager, Stuart McCall.
But he appeared at fault for Barnsley’s opener on Saturday (no thanks to the low winter sun) as Alex Mowatt’s 3-yard strike swerved into the side of the goal he looked to have covered.
Alnwick pointed to the sky immediately afterwards, and was soon presented with a cap from a Scunthorpe fan behind the goal.
But not everyone was quite so sympathetic towards the Rangers-owned player…
Some Scunthorpe fans have, however, come to Alnwick’s defence in the meantime.
Alnwick has 18 months left on his contract at Rangers, but faces a fight to break into Steven Gerrard’s plan upon his return to Ibrox.
Allan McGregor has excelled in goal for the Gers this season, where he is now backed up by Wes Foderingham and Andy Firth – the latter a January arrival at Ibrox from Barrow AFC.
