Rangers boss Steven Gerrard will be looking to bring new faces to Ibrox this summer.

Rangers finally landed their new permanent manager last Friday, as Steven Gerrard took his first steps into management by landing the Ibrox job.
The Gers had been under the care of interim boss Graeme Murty since sacking Pedro Caixinha back in October, but Murty’s departure last week was followed up by the deal for Gerrard just days later.
Gerrard’s appointment has caused huge fanfare and reaction, with the former England international set to be scrutinised at every turn in his first managerial job – and that will include his decisions in the transfer market.

Undoubtedly, Gerrard needs major additions in this summer’s transfer window, with Rangers desperate to close the gap to rivals Celtic, with bookmakers now pricing up odds for who his first signing could be.
Scottish bookmaker McBookie have started offering odds on Gerrard’s first signing, and ex-Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel – currently with Turkish side Fenerbahce – is the favourite at 4/1.
Everton ace Wayne Rooney, who is already expected to leave Goodison Park this summer, is next in at 10/1, having played alongside Gerrard for England, whilst the same can be said for John Terry at 12/1.

Crystal Palace’s James McArthur, Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke, West Bromwich Albion’s Gareth Barry, Leicester City’s Robert Huth as well as Stoke City duo Glen Johnson and Charlie Adam are all at 12/1, with Barry, Johnson and Adam potentially reuniting with former teammate Gerrard.
Many seem to believe that Gerrard will target players he has previously worked with, but with links to Peterborough United’s Jack Marriott emerging, Rangers may yet look to spring a surprise this summer.
