Rangers are on the verge of signing Nicolas Raskin with the Standard Liege midfielder allegedly ‘desperate’ to make the move to Ibrox.
That’s according to Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure, who claim that Raskin to Rangers appears to be on.
It’s claimed that Rangers offered €500,000 (£440,000) for Raskin but that was rejected, as were two more bids – the second of which was around €1.6million (£1.4million).
Now though, Rangers have come back in with an offer worth up to €2million (£1.75million) including add-ons and bonuses, with Standard having a 20% sell-on clause.
The report adds that a German club came forward with an offer for Raskin but he is ‘desperate’ to join Rangers.
Belgian transfer reporter Sacha Tavolieri adds that ‘it’s done’ and Raskin is flying to Glasgow to finalise his move to Rangers.
Raskin will sign a four-and-a-half-year deal with Rangers and the move is expected to go through imminently.

Nicolas Raskin will help kickstart Rangers midfield overhaul
It may be time for Rangers to change up their midfield options.
Steven Davis is out of contract this summer, has turned 38 and is out with a major injury, so his days at Ibrox appear numbered.
Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield are out of contract this summer too, Glen Kamara has been linked away, James Sands is only on loan and Nnamdi Ofoborh sadly still hasn’t made his debut for Rangers due to heart issues.
Rangers need to bring new energy into their midfield and Raskin fits the bill.
The 21-year-old has impressed in Belgium, displaying the ability to dictate the game from deep and drive forward with the ball.
Raskin is the kind of profile Rangers need; a young player with the potential to rake in big cash down the line at Ibrox.
Belgium Under-21 boss Jacky Mathijssen has told the Daily Record that Raskin has ‘excellent technique’ – and it looks like Rangers fans can look forward to seeing him in action at Ibrox.
