Ibrox side Rangers brought Joey Barton to Glasgow early on in the transfer window.

Glasgow Rangers new boy Joey Barton has joked that he is already missing the Premier League on Twitter.
Barton signed for Rangers last month, after turning down the opportunity to play in England’s top flight with Burnley.
And it seems that the consequences of his move to Ibrox have really hit home today, after the Premier League’s fixtures were released.
If Barton had stuck with Burnley, he would have been taking on Swansea City in the first game of next season.
Instead, Barton’s full focus will be on helping Rangers compete back in the Scottish Premiership.
Barton has wasted no time stating his intentions to impress for Mark Warburton’s side, with the midfielder making a number of confident claims in the media.

Barton is Rangers’ marquee addition of the summer so far, and Warburton is expected to continue to try and add further players to his Glasgow side over the coming weeks.
Rangers have already made four signings this summer, and many more players are expected to arrive before the close of the transfer window.
