Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers need to pay for Jamie Walker and be done with it.

According to The Edinburgh Evening News, Rangers are refusing to stump up the £1 million needed to prise Jamie Walker from Hearts this week.
The talented winger has been linked with a move to Rangers for much of the summer transfer window and Gers boss Pedro Caixinha has seen two bids knocked back – the largest being £600,000, with half in add-ons.
And The Edinburgh Evening News claims that Caixinha is readying a third bid, but he will not pay Hearts what they want for the 24-year-old.

With a little over 24 hours left in the window, it is a risky move by Rangers who could and should simply pay the money to get their man – he is worth it.
Walker, who is out of contract next summer, scored 14 goals for the Tynecastle club last season and, given he is tried and tested in the Scottish Premiership, would immediately be one of Caixinha’s most important players if he joins.

The Portuguese manager need only ask himself whether Walker is worth £1 million and his track record suggests that he is certainly is. As a result, it is a big mistake for the Ibrox club if they wait until January and then fail to tie him down to a pre-contract agreement.
By January, there is every chance that the 46-year-old may no longer be at the club. Rangers’ form this season has been erratic and Caixinha needs him now, not next summer.
