Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will know Connor Randall from his time at Premier League giants Liverpool.

Steven Gerrard certainly made full use of his Anfield connections when beginning his managerial career at Rangers last summer.
In the 2018 transfer window, Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent both arrived on loan from Liverpool while Jon Flanagan was snapped up on a free. And with Gerrard’s Gers still a few intelligent additions away from potentially putting an end to Celtic’s dominance north of the border, the 38-year-old could do worse than to cast his eye across Merseyside again.
Connor Randall’s sudden availability certainly shouldn’t be ignored.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Randall is suddenly a free agent after his 17 year association with the Premier League runners-up came to an end. And he is considering offers from clubs in the Scottish Premiership.

It would be no surprise at all if Rangers were one of those having a look. Randall was rising through the ranks at Liverpool during Gerrard’s final few seasons at the club and the Rangers manager could do with an attack-minded right-back like him with James Tavernier lacking any real competition.
And, at the age of 23, Randall is crying out for regular first-team football. He’s already proven himself in Scotland too, making 27 appearances on loan at Hearts in 2017/18.
He ticks so many boxes.
